PoliticsRubio urges international action against threat of far-left terrorism

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described radical leftism as “a distinct and unique evil” at a ministerial meeting on the resurgence of political terrorism on July 16. He urged officials from more than 60 countries to refocus international counterterrorism efforts. Rubio called for particular attention to what he characterized as the rising threat posed by far-left terrorism. His appeal framed the issue as a renewed priority for governments involved in the meeting.
