The lawyer for Pastor Wang Lin, one of eight people detained in Beijing’s Zion Church case, was told on July 24 to collect the indictment from the court as soon as possible. Pastor Jin Mingri was released by the Chinese government in early July, but eight people in the case remain detained on alleged fraud and illegal-business charges. In Xi’an’s “Light of Zion” case, Pastor Gao Quanfu, his wife Pang Yu and another person are still held. Families of detainees in both cases appealed for all parents to return to their children.
