WorldUS military carries out fresh strikes on Iran

The US military says it has completed what it called a “heavy wave” of strikes against Iran. Washington said the action was retaliation for attempted ballistic missile attacks on American forces on Tuesday. Iran has continued launching attacks across the region in response. Jordan reported shooting down five Iranian missiles, while Kuwait said one person was killed in an Iranian strike. The conflict is drawing in additional countries, including through the first publicly announced joint US-Saudi strikes against Iranian proxies in Iraq.
