Israelis across political and religious lines are concerned that their connection with younger Jewish Americans is fading. A recent AP poll found that younger adults are generally less likely than older adults to view supporting Israel as central to their Jewish identity. Lesley Sachs, who has protested Israel’s current government, also described a close relationship with diaspora Jews as a “strategic asset” for Israel and Jews worldwide.
