The U.S. Marine Corps says the pilot of an F-35B stealth fighter is expected to survive after ejecting before the aircraft crashed in California. The jet came down Friday near the Miramar air base in San Diego. The Marines described the incident as a “Class A mishap.” An individual F-35B fighter costs about $109 million.
