Volunteers with the Greek nongovernmental organization Dog’s Voice rushed to Porto Germeno as a fierce wildfire threatened animals there. Porto Germeno is a popular resort on the Gulf of Corinth. The group said the animals were moved to a new football stadium in Vilia, in West Attica. The emergency relocation followed the volunteers’ effort to get them out of the fire’s path.
