WorldEastern Washington officials say federal resources deployed as wildfires spread

Wildfires continued spreading across eastern Washington and remained uncontained on Sunday. Authorities said roughly 5,000 homes had been evacuated. About 600 homes, businesses and other buildings were destroyed. Federal resources were deployed as officials responded to the expanding fires.
