Clayton Allison of Prime Capital Financial told Reuters that their ability to influence prices is likely to remain strong for some time. Yet uncertainty about future demand could keep the companies from feeling confident enough to invest in new drilling. Strong pricing power therefore may not translate into a fresh expansion of production investment.
