WorldEthiopians flee to Sudan as conflict renews in Tigray

Tigray saw its biggest escalation since the 2022 Pretoria agreement over the weekend. The TPLF and members of Ethiopia’s government blamed each other for the renewed violence. Although fighting has paused since August 1, fear of a full regional conflict is driving a mass exodus from the area. Ethiopians are crossing toward neighbouring Sudan as uncertainty continues.
