ScienceNew $200m fund launched to save 100 of the world’s most threatened species

The Phoenix Species Project is putting $200m towards recovering 100 of the world’s most threatened species in the wild and preventing their extinction. It is described as one of the largest funds ever dedicated to species recovery. The initiative brings together the Bezos Earth Fund and Re:wild, a non-profit co-founded by actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Its launch comes as conservationists warn that global biodiversity is declining.
