Singapore MP Edward Chia proposed amendments to a parliamentary motion on Wednesday. He said the changes would strengthen it in three ways. They would clarify that inclusion, entrepreneurship, innovation and good jobs are consistent with the Economic Strategy Review, rather than pursued despite it. The amendments would also recognise the need for both dynamic local companies and global enterprises in Singapore’s future economy. Healthy domestic demand, he said, should provide further support.
