Scientists are developing vaccines designed to train the immune system to stop colon cancer before it develops into a full tumor. At least three possible vaccines for people with Lynch syndrome are currently in development. The approach seeks to intervene at an early stage, before cancer takes hold. Researchers are testing whether immune responses can prevent the disease from fully forming.
