CulturePunk music turns 50 in the UK with festival celebration

The UK is marking 50 years since punk emerged during the long hot summer of 1976. More than 300 punk bands have gathered in Blackpool for the Rebellion Festival. The event began in the 1990s, when punk was starting to fade from history. Three decades later, Britons now in their 60s are revisiting the movement and rediscovering their disreputable past.
