US President Donald Trump says he is seeking compensation from Iran for people he claims were killed by the country. Iran has refused to reopen the Strait of Hormuz unless Washington accepts conditions including payment for wartime damage. Trump also insists the US fully controls the strait, saying the Navy has cleared all Iranian mines and calling the blockade a “steel wall”.
