The Kyiv Independent has introduced a new merchandise line titled Old Patterns, New Stories. It draws on Ukraine’s centuries-old embroidery tradition as its central inspiration. The collection features two collaborations: a limited-edition vyshyvanka made with Ukrainian embroidery brand Gaptuvalnya, and three illustrated items created with Kyiv-based illustrator Kateryna Stepanishcheva. Together, the projects connect the outlet’s merchandise with Ukrainian craft and visual culture.
