CultureDelay the new ‘Spider-Man’ or we’ll rethink our terms, Russian distributor tells theaters
Russian distributor Atmosfera Kino has urged movie theaters to postpone the release of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” until late August. The recommendation was sent in a letter to theaters, according to Russian outlet Cinemaplex. Atmosfera Kino reportedly launched the initiative together with the Association of Movie Theater Owners. The move is intended to clear the way for a homegrown fairy-tale sequel. The distributor framed the request as a matter of its terms with theaters.
