More than 3,400 residents from Kyoto, Shiga, Osaka and elsewhere brought a lawsuit concerning Kansai Electric Power’s Oi nuclear power plant reactors 3 and 4 in Fukui Prefecture. They sought measures including an injunction stopping the reactors’ operation. The Kyoto District Court handed down a ruling rejecting the residents’ claims.
