Pop star Dua Lipa has voiced admiration for protests in Albania opposing a resort project backed by Jared Kushner. The demonstrations are entering their sixth week as campaigners challenge the €1.6bn real estate development. Lipa described the civic unrest as “inspiring”. The singer was born in London, has Kosovan Albanian parents and was partly raised in Pristina.
