A ruling-party committee discussing the route for extending the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka has compiled a report. It says the so-called Katsuragawa plan is desirable within the Obama–Kyoto route, which would run from Obama in Fukui Prefecture through Kyoto City. The proposal would pass near Katsuragawa Station, west of Kyoto Station.
