The University of Melbourne’s interim vice-chancellor said pro-Palestine sit-ins on campus prompted the institution to change its protest policies “quite sharply.” Professor Glyn Davis told the royal commission into antisemitism and social cohesion that further restrictions could follow. The commission is examining universities’ responses to campus incidents. It is also considering the lived experiences of Jewish students and academics in Australia.
