ScienceShipwrecks of Shackleton and Scott recreated in 3D after deep-sea expedition

Canadian scientists have visited the remains of vessels linked to polar exploration and recreated them in digital 3D form. In the darkness and silt of the seafloor, the bow of a ship emerged more than 1,000ft below the Labrador Sea. It was the final vessel used by famed polar explorer Ernest Shackleton. The expedition comes amid what researchers describe as a “golden era” for investigating shipwrecks.
