CultureAhmed El Attar brings rage, resistance and humanity to the Avignon stage

Arts24 travels to southern France for a special programme from the renowned Avignon theatre festival, which is marking its 80th edition. Korean is this year’s guest language, giving audiences a view of drama, dance and literary work by Korean artists. The programme also explores Julien Gosselin’s high-tech literary take on evil, “Maldoror,” staged at the Palais des Papes. Egyptian director Ahmed El Attar discusses his recent work.
