A 51-year-old former employee has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. Police suspect the person mixed excrement into the intravenous drip of a hospitalized male patient in his 70s. The patient died after the suspected contamination. The incident took place at a hospital in January this year.
