Russia says France’s refusal to issue a visa to a TASS reporter attending UNESCO events is puzzling. Maria Zakharova said the reporter was due to cover events on July 17 during a global conference for the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development. A UNESCO-Russia International Prize for Achievements in Fundamental Sciences is scheduled to be awarded at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
