The European Union has extended its price cap on Russian oil for another week after Greece blocked agreement on a new sanctions package. The 21st package had been expected to win approval on July 15. Two EU officials told The Kyiv Independent that Greece refused to soften its hardline opposition to proposals aimed at stopping EU countries from trading liquefied natural gas with third countries. The dispute has delayed the agreement.
