HealthOntario wildfires make Toronto’s air quality the worst in the world
Environment Canada has issued health warnings as smoke from more than 100 active wildfires in northern Ontario reaches Toronto. The city’s sky turned a sickly yellow on Wednesday, while smoky conditions spread across cities in the northeastern US. IQAir, the Swiss company that monitors air quality worldwide, ranked Toronto as having the worst air quality in the world. The warnings followed the sharp deterioration in conditions over Canada’s largest city.
