EconomyTrafigura backs out of Angola transmission line project, sources say
Trafigura has withdrawn from a proposed transmission line project in Angola, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter. The planned line would have had a capacity of 2,000 megawatts. It was intended to carry surplus hydropower from Angola to copper and cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. The sources did not provide a reason for the company’s decision.
