EU chief Ursula von der Leyen announced on Wednesday that the European Union and Ukraine had reached a “drone deal.” The agreement is intended to increase joint production of the key battlefield technology and create joint ventures. Ukraine has already signed comparable agreements with several individual EU countries and Gulf nations. Those partners are seeking to draw on the expertise Kyiv has developed during more than four years of war with Russia.
