TechRoblox is shutting down its video chat service

Roblox is set to discontinue Roblox Connect, the video-calling service it launched in 2023. The feature allowed users to speak with others through Roblox avatars. Those avatars could reproduce the movements users made in real life. People on a call could also move around together in a shared virtual space. The shutdown ends a service built around combining video communication with avatar-based interaction.
