EconomyChile’s Codelco expects copper output to remain flat in coming years
Chile’s state-owned copper producer Codelco expects production over the next several years to remain close to current levels. Chairman Bernardo Fontaine gave that assessment on Wednesday. He was responding to a question about whether the company remained on course to reach its target of producing 1.7 million metric tons annually by 2030. His comments indicate that output is expected to stay broadly unchanged as the company works toward that goal.
