TechxAI sues man accused of using Grok to generate CSAM ‘deepfakes’

Elon Musk-owned xAI has filed a lawsuit against a South Carolina man it alleges used the Grok AI chatbot to create child sexual abuse material. The company claims Terry Wayne Harwood knowingly and intentionally bypassed Grok’s safeguards. It further alleges that he altered nonconsensual images and generated and distributed CSAM. The case places alleged misuse of an AI chatbot at the center of a civil lawsuit.
