TechSoftBank-led domestic AI alliance ‘Noetra,’ backed by 44 companies, to build large data center with Nvidia’s next-generation GPUs

A Japanese government and private-sector project to develop domestic AI infrastructure plans to deploy next-generation AI servers equipped with more than 27,500 Nvidia Rubin graphics processors. The initiative is intended to secure computing resources and advance Japan’s domestic AI capabilities. The SoftBank-led Noetra alliance, funded by 44 companies, will build a large data center for the project.
