A Gamers Nexus video says that connecting a new LG UltraGear monitor to a Windows 11 PC for the first time can trigger Windows Update to install LG driver updates and the LG Monitor App Installer. The installations reportedly happen silently, without a permission prompt or notification. The app also appears to lack special controls. As a result, users may receive unwanted McAfee pop-up advertisements alongside the monitor software.
