A Florida teenager who accused Meta of causing depression and anxiety through its platforms has withdrawn his lawsuit against the company. His attorneys said the case was dropped on Wednesday, only days before the trial was scheduled to begin in Los Angeles. The litigation had alleged that Meta’s platforms were responsible for the teenager’s mental-health harms. The withdrawal came just before those claims were due to be examined in court.
