ScienceChina completes first full-process typhoon observation with drone swarm
China has completed its first full-process observation of a typhoon using a swarm of meteorological drones, the China Meteorological Administration said. During Typhoon Noul’s passage over Shenzhen’s Dapeng Peninsula, the drones gathered atmospheric and flight-performance data before, during and after the storm to support forecasting and research into safe operations in extreme weather.
