WorldLithuania finds unfinished ‘migrant-smuggling’ tunnel from Belarus
Lithuanian border guards found an unfinished tunnel extending from Belarus toward southeastern Lithuania. The roughly one-meter-wide passage had no exit on the Lithuanian side. Authorities believe it was intended to smuggle foreign nationals into the country and say dozens of other sites may contain similar tunnels. The border service chief accused Belarusian authorities of turning a blind eye or actively helping migrants build them.
