TechFAA says seats on hundreds of Boeing 737 MAX jets may need inspections
The FAA says seats on 453 Boeing 737 MAX jets registered in the US may have been installed incorrectly and could require inspections and repairs. The agency warns that seats might injure passengers or crew during an emergency landing, or block an aisle and slow evacuation. Boeing says it issued guidance to operators in December 2025 and supports making it mandatory.
