The Moscow Patriarchate’s publishing house has released Patriarch Kirill’s new book, War. Beyond Visible Causes and Consequences. Its announcement says the work examines sacrifice, heroism, patriotism and victory through a spiritual lens, arguing that God determines the outcome of war and that Russians have a historical duty to be victors. Kirill has repeatedly justified Russia’s war against Ukraine.
