U.S. biofuel imports are growing too slowly to provide enough help for the industry to meet the Environmental Protection Agency’s renewable fuel blending mandates. A Valero Energy executive said imports no longer receive key U.S. tax incentives. The company also pointed to changes in tax credits and registration hurdles as factors slowing the flow of biofuel into the country.
