HealthJCR Pharmaceuticals brings forward Japanese approval application for muscular dystrophy drug

JCR Pharmaceuticals said it will apply in 2026 for Japanese approval of givinostat, a treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and aims to secure approval and launch it in 2027. The company projects peak sales of about ¥35 billion. The drug is already approved in the United States and Europe but has not been approved in Japan.
