The Women’s Professional Baseball League has opened its inaugural season in rainy conditions. Despite the weather, an enthusiastic crowd attended opening day. Mo’ne Davis and the Los Angeles Queens rallied for a dramatic 10-8 win over Denae Benites and the New York Heights. The league is the first women’s professional baseball league in the United States in nearly 30 years.
