Holdout Republican senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis are backing an agreement with acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. The deal would formally rescind an order that created an “anti-weaponization fund.” That fund could have directed $1.8 billion to allies of President Donald Trump. The agreement is likely to clear a path for Blanche’s confirmation as the nation’s top law enforcement officer.
