Chinese scientist Wang Jinsong has become the first Chinese recipient of the William Nordberg Medal, awarded by the Committee on Space Research for outstanding contributions to applying space science. The honor was presented Monday at the 46th COSPAR Scientific Assembly in Florence, Italy. An asteroid was also named after him.
