A joint study by Megafon and bookstore chain Chitai-Gorod found that sales of Homer’s Odyssey in Russia rose 254% year on year in July after Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation premiered. Overall sales of Homer’s works increased 125%, while traffic to the film’s official website reached eight times its average in the week before release.
