Lebanon and Israel are holding another round of direct talks in Rome under US sponsorship. The meeting is the seventh since Hezbollah drew Lebanon into the Middle East war in March by firing rockets at Israel. Israel responded with heavy airstrikes and a ground invasion. Hezbollah’s leader condemned the negotiations, saying they brought “shame” and “humiliation” to Lebanon.
