Russia will temporarily restrict the transit of poultry meat and by-products made by EU companies from August 5, Rosselkhoznadzor said. The measure is intended to prevent the spread of epizootic diseases and protect consumers after an allegedly German-origin shipment was found moving illegally with falsified veterinary certificates. The restrictions will remain until talks with the European Commission follow the investigation.
