The FAO said global food commodity prices rose 0.6% in July to an index reading of 131.1 points. Higher cereal, sugar and vegetable oil prices outweighed partly offsetting declines in meat and dairy, while geopolitical tensions and extreme weather continued to pressure some agricultural commodities.
