Serbian emergency services are fighting multiple wildfires as strong winds, extreme heat and prolonged drought worsen conditions. A blaze that reignited in the Deliblato Sands reserve has burned about 300 hectares of pine forest, with 45 firefighters, volunteers and three police helicopters involved. The heatwave has also pushed river levels lower.
