China’s pharmaceutical industry accelerated its innovation in the first half of the year as domestic companies strengthened their R&D capabilities. China approved 38 innovative drugs, including 31 developed domestically. Pharmaceutical enterprises’ added value grew 6.4% year on year, while out-licensing deals for innovative drugs totaled $110 billion.
