TechKalashnikov modifies Vikhr missile to combat UAVs
Kalashnikov Group CEO Alan Lushnikov says the company has equipped the Vikhr missile with a non-contact target sensor after drones became widespread and armored vehicles disappeared from the battlefield. Originally developed as a Ka-52 air-to-ground anti-tank missile, it is now used against UAVs in combat with air-to-air operation and laser-path guidance.
